Round 3 took place on Sunday, 6th April at Djouce Woods in Co. Wicklow. Weather on the day was bitterly cold with showers of hail and sleet. A tough course included steep singletrack climbs and a steep drop into a river crossing which tested riders technical ability.
Oisin Boydell competed for UCD. This was a crucial round for him as he was leading the series by only a single point. His main rival Luke Manning of IMBRC suffered a puncture on the last lap which allowed Oisin to take the lead comfortably. He now has a strong enough lead overall in the points to win the series regardless of his performance in the final round on the 20th April in Castlewellan in Co. Down.
