The Inter-club League is made up of University College Dublin Cycling Club, St. Tiernan’s CC, Lucan Cycling Road Club, Orwell Wheelers & Irish Road Club.
The league consists of 21 league races. There will also be Christmas hamper race.
Race Rules:
- The UCD CC jersey is compulsory in each race.
- All competitors must have a 2009 Cycling Ireland licence.
- You must be a fully paid up paid up member of UCD CC.
- You must have paid the league entrance fee.
- All riders must sign on at the start of each race.
- All competitors will be on the matrix to marshal a race.
- All riders must follow the instruction of race organizers and marshals.
Safety:
- Hard shell helmets are compulsory.
- Riders must obey the rules of the road and officials at all times.
Failure to do so may result in instant dismissal from the race, and a minimum 3-race ban.
Grading:
- Riders are graded by ability and not by licence category.
- Riders can be promoted or demoted during the season.
Semi-scratch: Anthony Walsh
Semi-limit: Louise Moriarty, Ciarán Ó Conluain, Colin Peirce, Brian Sugrue
Limit: Ben Arant, Niall Dwyer, Jevon Newman, Fiachra O’Loughlin, Fiachra Rowan, Niamh Stephens
Points System:
- Your best 11 races out of 15 races & 6 bonus points count for the league.
- The top 7 riders in a given race must return to the finish to confirm placing.

All finishers in all races receive 5 points.
Prize Fund:
There will be prizes on offer for the first 25 overall ranging from €90 for the winner to €25 for 25th place.

Brian Hayden, Chairman of St. Tiernan’s Cycling Club, is the Overall Inter-club League Coordinator. Maoilíosa Ó Dubhthaigh, President of UCD CC, will deal with all issues concerning UCD CC riders’ participation in the league.

All riders competing in the 2009 Inter-club League have been assigned one event to marshal. It is the duty of each individual to know when and where s/he has to marshal. If you are unable to marshal, for whatever reason on a given date, the onus is on you to organize a replacement. Failure to do so will result in you being disqualified from further competition until such time that you finally marshal.
