The Committee consisted of Captain, Dermot O’Dywer, Secretary, David Lane, Junior Treasurer, Aonghus Ryan. Brendan Kilbride (Mtb Rep), Alan Lane (Graduate Rep) and Maoilíosa Ó Dubhthaigh (Vice-President) made up the remainder of the Executive, while Cormac Ó Dubhthaigh again acted as Club President. The Cycling Ireland affiliated team consisted of David Lane, Alan Lane, Aonghus Ryan, Kieran Keane, Brendan Kilbride and Scholarship Student David McQuaid.
The highlights of this year was Sports Scholarship student, David McQuaid’s victory in the National Under 23 Road Race Championships and continued selection to the national team. He again represented Ireland at the European and World Championships. He also took on the Tour of Greece for the second consecutive season and this year added the Tour of Poland and Tour of Egypt to his palmares.
John Mason captured the Elite category of the 2000 IT Tallaght hosted Mountainbiking Championship. UCD did not enter a team.
In a repeat of the previous season, David McQuaid and David Lane captured the Club Rider of the Year and Club League titles respectively. John Mason was awarded the Mountainbiking gong and Rachel Wisdom won the Ladies Achievement Award.
