K Capital Cup round 4 race report

The final round of the K Capital Cup took place last Sunday at Castlewellan Forest Park in Co. Down. The course was the same as that used in the first National Points Series race last year and consists mostly of singletrack through forest which was very technically demanding. The dry weather recently meant that the course was very fast and dusty.

Cait Elliot and Oisin Boydell represented UCD with Cait achieving 5th place in Elite women, and Oisin taking 5th place in Experts. For full results see here. Cait achieved 5th place overall in the Elite women K Capital Cup results, and Oisin won 5th place overall in Experts. Robin Seymour won overall in Elite men, closely followed by Niall Davis. The whole cup was very well run with excellent course design and we're looking forward to the XC National Points Series which is kicking off on the 29th April.
